Research published in the Journal of Renewable and Sustainable Energy, holds some amazing new potential for renewable energy solutions. These new tiny solar cells that are a quarter of the size of a grain of white rice & can put out about 11 volts of electricity. The amazing thing to think about is the potential for this new technology, things we can’t even begin to imagine! The new researchers are envisioning these as being able to be painted onto surfaces, like clothing! The possibilities could be endless with this new research. What astounded me the most was that they figure they are a month away from improving the manufacturing process which will increase the output to 15 volts. It’s made out of natural resources in the environment, carbon & hydrogen, completely earth friendly. I can’t wait to see where this leads us, guess we are only bound by our imagination at this point.
