I was just sent this link to another fabulous photographer’s work,  who was at the ABC/ ISES event at the winery.  I have to say that I just love that shot of our Waltz Martini!  Great photo!  Please contact Jack if you want to order any prints from the show.  I was just so involved with what Stacy & I & Tamara had going on during the design process, I failed to realize how much beauty was in that room!  Jack managed to capture both the creativity and the beauty in these pictures!

I always think I’m creative, but then I see the pictures from photographers, and I am so intimidated by their vision of what we do.  The world is only made more beautiful by photographers!

Thanks for capturing the spirit of the event!

http://planetgreen.discovery.com/tv/planet-mechanics/episode-heavy-metal.html I posted this article on twitter about 4 months ago, and I have been continually thinking about all of the possibilities for affordable housing.  It’s a brilliant idea.  I watched the original show on planet green.  So imagine my thrill this morning when I heard about a new organization that is taking the idea and moving forward with it, to provide a small village of containers to Haiti!  I was so excited to hear about the project, I couldn’t wait to share it with every one!  Here is their website, please check it out and find out how to get involved in the project.    http://www.givelove.org/

Here are their goals:

Complete construction and site preparation for 50 container homes that will provide housing for 400 homeless people over the next two years…

Develop ecologically sound sanitation, hygiene and composting system for 400 person village at Bois Neuf Field…

Create water reclamation and filtration systems for safe drinking and washing water…

How could anyone not support this fantastic idea?

It’s amazing what a difference professional photography makes!  I took some photos at the event, but they look nothing like the professional photo’s here.  So much creative talent in one place, what an amazing evening!  I enjoyed every single table, all the small intimate details on each table, and just the creative spirit in that room!  You can view the slide show from Alabastro Photography, there are about 195 photo’s of some creative tables with incredible artistic elements!  Enjoy the show!

A lovely place to hold a garden wedding, the Clise Mansion http://www.seattlebride.com/the-properties/clise-mansion/clise-photos/ has such a historical past,it is so well maintained, and the grounds are impeccable.  I love the history of this venue.  Here are a few photos from today’s garden wedding.  Hopefully I can get some copies of some professional photos from the photographer Martin Paul.        http://www.martinpaulphotography.com/portfolio_select.html

The colors for the wedding were blue and white and lavender.  The brideloves wildflowers, unfortunately there aren’t a ton of wildflowers in March, so we used garden flowers like sweetpeas, anemones, dephinium, queen annes lace, hydrangea, and deconstructed hyacinth blooms for the boutonniere’s  and corsage’s.

Fan Shaped Club Moss

Here is a cool looking Club Moss, not sure of the variety, but it’s different looking than what I am used to seeing. It has big fan shaped leaves, and it’s a pretty spring green color.  Normal club moss is so petite and small. I’ve been using it in my living gardens and my customers are really loving it! If anyone knows the Latin Botanical name, please let me know what it is.  I think the grower is in Canada, so I’m going to try and do a little research and get back with an update as to the botanical name.
